Mine TV is Kaput!

Photobucket
Taken by my four year old...back in June. Nice eh?

AS IF!

Dood, had a rough morning with the five year old. He woke with a fever...(correction he woke EARLY with a fever).

So, I couldn't send him to school, and I had no other caretaker for him. Had to nix the plans with my friend Hollywood. (Sorry Holls.)

So, what do you do when your kid awakens so freaking early in the morning? Well, if you are anything like me, we head downstairs and I let them watch all sorts of PBS until I am ready to face the day...or at least open my eyes whichever comes first.

So, we get all comfy cozy on the couch. We watch five minutes of Arthur and three minutes of George...and "pizoooooooo". Death to the television. Gone...whammo, kaput.

So, I did what any other sleep deprived desperate mother would do. I put them in front of the little 7" television in the kitchen, and I slept on the family room rug.

Notes to self: Couch is much more comfy than floor. Buy new TV (ha ha...that last part is a joke, I think I shall permanently borrow one from my inlaws).

That's too bad about your not-so-fun morning. I hope it gets better real soon!

Also, you don't have TIVO?! How do you live without it?

I've borrowed my sister's portable DVD player for oh... 2 and half years now. I probably ought to make an effort to give it back sometime soon. Like in another year or two.

He he! Love that Mrs. R put in a good word and a request for you with Santa! What a good friend!

Seriously, that really sucks! We've had that happen to us- not when a kiddo got sick :( -and we had to borrow a TV from the in-laws. I'm so like you. When my kids get sick the TV becomes my best friend on early mornings! Hope the dude gets feeling better! And the mamma gets some better, softer sleep in! Hugs all around!

We might have a tv you can have Kim-seriously:) We have one waiting at our mom's to pick up-it's been there for the past two months. Once we get it you can have ours . . . it isn't too shabby so let me know???
If not I hope one comes your way, and hopefully the fever is gone.
