Cossa Family

I pulled open my 'to blog' folder on my desktop today. I found these. I loved them. I wanted to post something happy and bright and loving on my blog.

The thing I love about this family? Their home, their walls are plastered with photos of their family. They print their pictures and they love them. I can learn a thing or two from them that is for certain.

Sweet Sisters

All shot on a Contax 645, 80mm 2.0 at f/2.8, on Kodak Portra 400 Film

I love these girls. As. In. L O V E. I have had the privilege of photographing them for the past two years. I am always amazed at the families who love and trust me to photograph them. I love that their children get to know me and trust me, and look forward to portrait day, instead of something unknown. They are more relaxed, smile easier, play faster. I just love. I love that they love me...well, all of them but maybe baby Shae. Sweet Shae, I promise to win her over. Thanks Vanessa for letting me capture your beauties once again.

I would adore getting to know your littles in a similar fashion. If you would like to start a photography relationship, drop me a line: kimorlandini@gmail.com and let's talk.

xoxo

Let the Kids

I am SO excited to be featured on Let the kids today. This is my first -big- feature. Would you mind going and spreading a little love for me? I think it is kind of a big deal. Also, many thanks to Julie and her family for letting me capture such a magical time in their lives and for letting me share this feature as well.

Mwah.

Wright Family

All shot on a Contax 645, 80mm 2.0 at f/2.8, on Kodak Portra 400 Film

I love photographing families. Especially my own. I felt so lucky when my aunt asked me to photograph hers just before her second son left for college and before he leaves for his LDS mission in a few months, and they won't see him for two years.

I adore photographing the real side of people, the stuff you want to remember. I love the laughter, the closed eyes. I love to capture the essence and vibrant life that encompasses the word family. It is so much more than looking pretty for the camera.

If you would like me to capture your family in a similar way, I would love to meet you. Drop me a line: kimorlandini@gmail.com
