Today I am simply thankful that those big hands on the bottom are safe.
Our iPad was stolen from Flavio yesterday. We are all pretty shaken at the story. Although we hope that our story will turn out similarly to this one, we are pretty sure it won't. However, there is nothing like this situation to put us in our place and realize the things that are important in life are not 'things'. They are the ones we love. As long as they are safe that is all that matters.
Take time today to love on the real people in your life. Put the 'things' away, and focus on them.

Geez! What a terrible feeling. I'm so sorry :(
ReplyDeleteoh no! I am so sorry - glad every one is safe though! was it stolen right from him?
ReplyDeleteSo glad your family is safe.
ReplyDeleteIf you get a new iPad, I'd recommend the app Find My Phone. Install it on your iPad, iPhone, Mac, anything Apple basically. Then if you lose one of them, you can track it online. Once you have tracked it (takes less than a minute) you can see where it is on a map, force it to play a sound and message (if the device is on it will do this even if it was on vibrate), lock the device so no one can use it, or even wipe it completely of all your information. People have used this to track their stolen items or even to see if they left their phone at school/work/car/etc. I use mine at lease once a week to find where I lost my phone in the house (the beeping overrides vibrate setting).
I read that story a few weeks before my husbands ipod touch was stolen from the gym during a YM activity. Sadly since only YM were in the gym we assume it was one of them. Actually two were stolen, one from my husband and one from a young man. Very disappointing. We hoped for days that they would log on to the internet but it hasn't happened. The ipod has since been replaced and we have moved on. It is very frustrating but it has since been replaced. I am glad that your husband is safe.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe! So scary and frustrating
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear he is okay. Sometimes in scary times like this, you realize how much things don't matter when it comes down to it.
