This past week brought with it a much needed break from life, and from reality. I was given the amazing opportunity to attend a blogger's event in Lehi, Utah. How did the powers that be know that this is just what the doctor ordered to help get me in the spirit of the holiday season?
Do you live in Utah? Have you ever, EVER, been to Thanksgiving Point? If not, now is the time to do so. The holiday spirit is in the air. It is truthfully one of the prettiest and funnest places in the Utah Valley.
I did not take this photo, but I wish I had.
I vowed this night not to ever purposefully leave my camera at home. I regretted the decision and wished I had it once we got there. We met in the kitchen of the stunning Emporium where the chefs from Harvest Restaurant made us THE most yummy shrimp salsa and butternut squash soup. If you know me, you know I am telling you the truth when I say it was yummy. I don't eat anything from the sea, but I did and I may be changing my mind and heart when it comes to seafood.
We were then taught an easy and fun neighbor gift. Check out FormerlyPhread for some awesome photos of the fun things we ate and did, and for a photo of the adorable neighbor gift, which I did take a photo of, but you won't get to see it until after Christmas because it is not developed yet. :)
We then went on a tour of the Emporium and finished the night off with a trolley ride through the lights, complete with hot chocolate. It was truly magical and blissful, and brought my troubled heart back down to Earth, and put me right in the holiday spirit.
Thanksgiving Point is so amazing. It truly is a spot for anyone. The shopper, the movie goer, the date night lover, for the kids, the photographer! All year long there is fun to be found.
They have given me the opportunity to give away an annual Family Pass to one of my lucky readers. Yes, you read that right. This is a $175 value FAMILY pass, meaning everyone in your family under 18 gets to be a part of the fun next year.
((full disclosure)I have a matching 2011 Family Pass as a thank you from Thanksgiving Point. So the winners and I will have an amazing year spending our days walking around this wonderful place!)
How do you enter to win? Just leave me a comment telling me your favorite part of Thanksgiving Point. Is it the photo ops? The Christmas Lights? The Museum? The theater? THE FOOD? Tell me, tell me, tell me! Then, tell your friends via facebook or twitter and come back for a second entry (or not, I get it if you don't want to share the love, but it is the season for giving and sharing...). Want a third entry? Become a blog follower. That is it!
***Edited to note, if you want an additional entry, PLEASE leave an additional comment as the winner will be chosen via www.random.org and if all of your entries are in one comment, your chances of winning are less! Awesome and thank you!***
The winner will be chosen on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 8p.m. MST, so I can get you your pass in time for all of the holiday gift giving fun!
I LOVE Thanksgiving Point. We live right next to it, so its super convenient. I love that there is so much family fun stuff to do!! Our favorite thing is to go look at the Holiday lights, and then go to the deli to get hot cocoa.

Thanksgiving Point is wonderful! In the winter we go to the museum when it's too cold outside and we need to get out of the house, in the Spring we enjoy the beautiful Gardens, and in the Summer we enjoy it all: the museum, the gardens, and the farm. We've had such quality family time at Thanksgiving Point! There is something for everyone all year long!
