there's something so incredible about film. so raw, so pure. it really shows talent to be able to shoot in film anymore.

  7. a lot of it depends on the type of film you are shooting.

in film, you expose for the shadows...and in digital you expose for the highlights. if you lose one or the other in that format...you are screwed...think blown highlights in digital=lost shadows in film.

    fugly.

    i can teach you linds.

  9. got it, so ...it's like when i edit in camera raw and it shows blue in the places that are blown out too dark (for lack of the technical terms)?

very cool, kimmie. your style is different in film too. it's like a whole new set of skills. love it.

  13. It's so hard to put a name to the quality film brings. Is there a single word for soul, depth, character and richness? These are wonderful. What film?

  16. Karah has the same shirt as Memms-maybe not the same color because of the B&W... With film you can't see a preview can you? How do you know if you captured the shot or if they blinked weird or something? Do you develop them yourself? I can't believe how grown up Millz is getting! Thanks for letting me hold her for so long-she was wonderful! Ashlee got a little baby hungry too so that's a plus for me! So sweet! J man is getting so tall! Remember how little the kids all were at Memm's and Ayla's first birthday? It seems like yesterday, yet it's been so long now!
