--ing Out.
I had about two weeks to work out hard between having Millz and before my surgery,
which put me out from almost no exercise for another six weeks.
It has been hard on me.
The last four months have just been one lazy, messy, day after another. Last week was the week when the red light turned to green, which meant I needed to get my lazy ars off of the couch...
(not that it spends much time there anyway with three little ones.)
So, Friday I started my exercise routine, three weeks before I start training for THIS.
(still waiting on word if I got in though, cross your fingers.)
It is not too late to get in on it too...sign up for the lottery...training starts Dec 27!
Get your super fab shirts here.
Anyway, today I tried the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred.
Holy Bananas.
I got this DVD for a STEAL only $10 on a Target sale (my fave store) and holy mother.
I hurt.
I never realized 20 minutes could hurt so good.
I think I just might be able to get back into this work--ing out thing again.
As for 'real' work?
Ya I've been doing that too.
Check it out here.

ReplyDeletehands down.
Way to go on getting back in the swing. I have been struggling with this ever since the temperature dipped below 50.
ReplyDeleteToby is always saying he wishes he could work out with Jillian. Apparently he likes being screamed at - because he says the DVDs are NOT what he means. He wants her to stand on him and call him names, I guess. I said "I can do that" and he just rolled his eyes and said "no....really. you can't". Guess I need to work on my "mean".
That's the one I did after I had my little Brynlee. It does hurt good. And you just keep saying...I can do this for 20 minutes. I had forgotten about this DVD. I'm going to have to do it again.
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck on the half! I just did a marathon this weekend and I'm still hurting. It feels good to get back to normal after having a little one.
I've been contemplating popping that DVD back in for weeks now. I really should. ARGH!
ReplyDeleteI just REALLY want to exercise in general. I feel like getting up to go to the bathroom is a workout. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting me excited to workout one day in my hopefully near future.
The workout is only 20 minutes? I need to give her a try!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Kim, let me just tell you- I love that DVD. I got the 30 day shred after I had Robby and it soooo works. I did it 3 times a week with a few running days in between and I swear it was miraculous how my body came back to "normal" after having a baby. I've stopped doing the workouts since I'm mostly just running now, but I need to start doing them again because they really help tone some muscle...how about that...muscle tone in just 20 minutes a day. So let that dvd kick your butt because trust me, it's going to work!!!
Good luck with all your efforts!
I'm a "secret" follower. I'm laughing right now in pain because I know this 30 day shredded body feeling also. My hubby and I are doing the 30 day shred..... my husband grits his teeth while we're doing the workouts and mutters, "I hate Jillian. She's a hag...." and so on. Hard to laugh and do the workout at the same time. :)
