So, tonight our ward had this bomb fiesta. Minus the Tequila, cerveza, and peyote. There were however muchas senoritas, dancing, hot sauce, AND a pinata.
I am telling you this because it is my calling...(my little job in my ward) and I LOVE IT!
I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time. Watching full grown adults and people of an older generation hit a pinata was seriously SO FUNNY. Watching my kid get hit in the leg with the bat as it broke in two...not so funny. (He is fine. I think he was more upset he didn't get to HIT the pinata.)
Again I say, I love my calling, I haven't had so much fun since I can remember. Who says Latter-day Saints don't have any fun? I'll tell you what...
Word has gone around my ward about this blog. "Eek!" I say,
and cringe in other ways,
but I welcome people getting to know who I really am. It doesn't get more real than this blog. Welcome to my new friends...

You are very cute Kim!People don't understand... WE ARE HAPPY BECAUSE WE HAVE THE GOSPEL IN OUR LIVES.
You are one of the most fun people I know! Love you to pieces!!
You rock!!! What a fun idea :)
In our first ward we were literally one of three couples under 60...I'm not kidding. So needless to say, our parties were more of a Lawrence Welk variety than a rockin' fiesta.
holly--i think we are in your first ward.
lol.
Oh, I wish I were in your ward. What a fun party! Lucky for everyone that you are in charge.
When I first saw this I missed a comma and though you had Dancing Hot Sauce. I would have loved to see that.
Clever, clever! Sounds like fun. I have been on activities for six years now... one day I'll learn how to do it right so they'll release me! :) Maybe I'll take lessons from you... if I could get that Dancing Hot Sauce there that Ron and Jessica mentioned that just might do the trick!
(Just teasing, it's fun, I enjoy it!)
It was awesome. :) Surprised this post didn't bring out more ladies to say hi!
Sounds like SO much fun. I with our ward did things like this:)
this sounds so fun!! next time i can bring you some tequila to top it all off! (oh, i kid)
i forgot how much i love pinatas! putting that on my list of things to do this summer. (...chubby white girl swinging a stick, all alone in her backyard, at a bright colored object she hung on the power lines that hang from her garage...yep, i'll leave you with that sexy image!!)
by the way...sorry 'bout the deleted comment! not sure how that happened, so yeah...
WHen you said it broke in two I thought you were talking about little man's leg! So glad you mentioned he's fine! Sounds like a fun party!
