Howdy!

****Edited to note that not ONE hour after writing this post, in Breaking Dawn, the author uses the term "freak show". It is about half way through the book. Seriously she used the term FREAK SHOW to describe one of the characters. Just so you know. I could be an amazing author too. Oh and don't you know it...i will totally write about this book when I am done with it. My top thoughts right now are "What the 'H'? Fer reals."

So we are away for a few days. Visiting family. We had a long drive yesterday. It feels so good to be away, to be with Hubbs' family, and to not have to worry about laundry, dishes, schedules, work, and all the other obligations of life.

It is nice to hug the kidlets all day...cuddle up close at night and watch movies...all the good things that seem to get put on the back burner sometimes.

I started reading the last book in the Twilight series. I read it all day yesterday. I never thought I would blog about these books. I'm not one to really follow the 'trends'...so when the books started becoming popular, it took me some convincing to start reading them. I have to say, I really didn't get into the first book much, and honestly it took halfway through the second to get me REALLY into them. Now, I am halfway through the fourth and final book, and I'm not so sure how I am feeling about it. I wish I could do all sorts of spoilers...but geeze. That is all I will say about that for now. Just wondered how others were feeling about it?

I had another freaking weird dream last night. (Pills? Exhaustion? Stress?) I'm holding out for that movie deal that Lace promised. LOL. So, last night's dream was a freak show. (I attribute it to reading Breaking Dawn.)

Anyway, we are off for a day of fun and excitement. Holla! And hopefully a nap. I am beat already and it is only nine in the morning!

  1. Have a fabulous few days away!

I have heard a lot of things about Breaking Dawn that are making me reconsider reading it. Hmmm...? I don't know. I am interested in hearing what other people think about it. Worth reading?

Anyways, have a great day Kim!

  2. Have fun! I miss you already!

I've been reading the twilight series too. I finished the last book in 7 hours... although my hubby got some serious abandonment. They're not so bad... but I was somewhat disappointed with the last one. I might get flogged for that response. :)

  3. You deserve some time away with your family, glad to hear it.
Oh, and I am a bit more than halfway through the last book and I don't know what to think of it . . . a bit disappointed with SOME things, and surprised by others . . . the first books were by far the best. . . but I need to finish the last one to make the final call.

  5. okay.

i just about posted about this on my blog, but didn't. so glad you did.

i told darren last night that this one is ruining the series for me. i shouldn't go that far, but like the first 500 pages annoyed the heck out of me. i'm nearly done and there's finally been some vampire adventure stuff instead of just a lot of ... well ... you know if you've read it.

definitely not something i'd want my teenage daughters reading, and there were some pretty young girls picking it up at the bookstore when i was there. yikes.

i want to know what you're really thinking;)

  7. Since I am only partially through the second book, I can't comment on the fourth so if you want to tell me all about it, I'm totally fine with that :-).

But, I miss you. We really shouldn't be gone back to back because how am I going to get my Kimmie fix? :-( Hopefully you are back on Wed for our night out.

  8. I didn't read any of the comments in case someone else decided to write a spoiler on those books. I just finished listening to the first audio book and thought it was good so I guess I should catch up with the fans :)
PS. what are you eating before bed? sometimes if I eat something sugary too close to bedtime I also have weird dreams.

  9. I just want to say that I love reading spoilers. Weird huh? I was hoping that you were going to give the best and the worst of the 4th book. I haven't read it yet, but have gotten everyone's opinion. Give it a week, and do another post on what things you liked the most and not so much. =)

  11. Twilight! Wow you and Devora should defiantly get together, she loves those books. I haven't read one myself. But she told me about one book, I believe it was about some lady and a vampire.I really like Dan Brown's books. Very intriguing.
